We are pleased to offer a New, Very High Quality Low Cost Comprehensive chemical blacking service.
The chemical blacking process imparts a decorative black finish on most ferrous surfaces including Cast Iron, without altering the component dimensionally OR any reduction in the hardness of heat treated parts, it cannot chip, crack or peel off.
The black surface absorbs a wax-oil-rust preventative to also help with corrosion protection.
SIZES
We can cater for single items weighing upto one tonne to small batches of thousands!
The components can be processed in several different ways, dependant upon their size and complexity. Parts can be Jig mounted, ensuring they are all seperated and all surfaces treated. Basketwork, is generally used for small batch items, Large items can be hoisted and processed individually. Barrel Rolling, where parts are loaded into a perforated barrel and gently rolled ensuring seperation and achieving a high quality finish.
